FOR OPTIMUM MOWER RESULTS. You can adjust the cutting height on your lawn mower easily and in several levels. A scale shows the current height. Central cut-height adjustment allows you to optimally adapt your mowing to the conditions of the lawn.

ENGINE WITH EASY-START SYSTEM

EASY AND RELIABLE. Whether a cold or warm start, thanks to the engine with easy-start system, you can start your power tool easily, reliably and with minimal effort.

VARIO WHEEL DRIVE

FOR INDIVIDUAL SPEED ADJUSTMENT. Vario wheel drive allows you to adjust the speed of your lawn mower to suit your personal mowing habits and grass conditions. The mowing speed can be adjusted on a variable basis via the control lever on the handlebar.

BLADE-BRAKE COUPLING

RUN THE ENGINE WITHOUT BLADES. The blade-brake coupling ensures effective crankshaft protection. You can use it to decouple the blade from the engine on your lawn mower. If, for example, you need to drive over rocky ground or stone slabs, you can use the wheel drive of the lawn mower to move the lawn mower without the blades running.

MULCHING FUNCTION

MOW AND FERTILISE IN A SINGLE STEP. The mulching function saves you having to dispose of cuttings and lets you fertilise your lawn naturally. The mulching blades shred the cut grass into small particles which are then automatically distributed evenly over the turf.

MULTI-BLADE

FLEXIBLE MOWING AND MULCHING. The multi-blade allows you to mow and mulch without changing the blade. The specially shaped blades shred the cut grass. Then you decide whether the grass should go into the catcher via air flow, or further shredded and distributed evenly over the green area to become a nutrient-rich fertiliser.

FOLDABLE GRASS CATCHER

EASY EMPTYING. Your lawn mower is equipped with a foldable grass catcher to make emptying clippings very straightforward. The fill-level indicator signals the right time for emptying. An airstream ensures dense filling while mowing, so you can make optimum use of the full volume of the box. The slats on the side of the box direct the air towards the ground, which protects you from dirt being swirled up.

IMPROVE CONTROL. With robust and durable smooth-running wheels, you can keep track of your lawn mowing easily and effortlessly. Thanks to their traction and directional stability, these smooth-running wheels can be effortlessly manoeuvred to support careful and comfortable lawn maintenance.

FOR COMFORTABLE LAWN MOWING. The ergonomic super-soft handle with its pleasant feel ensures that your arms are protected when mowing the lawn, as any vibrations are absorbed.

HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE COMFORT HANDLEBAR

COMFORTABLE WORKING AND STORAGE. The comfort handlebar is only mounted on one side of the lawn mower, making it easier for you to remove the grass catcher. As the handlebar is height-adjustable, it enables you to mow your lawn comfortably and ergonomically. You can adjust it to your preferred height without using tools. With a cutting width of 53 cm, the STIHL RM 655 VS petrol-driven lawn mower is specially designed for large gardens of up to 2,500 m2. Its high production quality and range of convenient functions enable users to make fast and precise mowing progress in completing challenging garden work on large lawns or in professional landscaping.

In addition to its practical Vario wheel drive for continuous adjustment of mowing speed, the powerful RM 655 VS features blade-brake coupling. This decouples the blade from the engine to protect the crankshaft, meaning that you can take short breaks at any time, for example to empty the catcher, without having to restart the engine. You can also move the lawn mower to other locations while driving it without blade engagement. The multi-blade cuts and mulches your lawn with no need to change the blade and while maintaining a precise cutting pattern.

The central, 7-level cut-height adjustment can be adjusted from 25 mm to 85 mm. A folding, height-adjustable comfort handlebar with super-soft handle supports ergonomic lawn care and easy handling of the 70-litre catcher. This includes a fill-level indicator so you can clearly see when it needs to be emptied.
