The fleece air filter is responsible for filtering sawdust, fine dust, and dirt from the cooling air flow, thus maintaining the cleanliness of the heat sinks of the power electronics and engine parts. The filter can be conveniently and efficiently cleaned using STIHL Varioclean and reused. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to clean the filter regularly, at least once a month for intensive usage.
FLEECE AIR FILTER
The MSA 300 C-O offers 3 different operating modes. In "Eco" mode, the chainsaw works with reduced power for maximum battery life. In the "felling" mode, you are supported by the highest possible torque at a reduced chain speed in order to saw as evenly and powerfully as possible. In the "limbing" mode, you have a particularly high chain speed for precise cuts. Use the activation button to start your chainsaw in the desired mode.

POTENTIOMETER LEVER FUNCTION
The derating function provides you with two advantages for your work. Firstly, it safeguards your chainsaw from potential overheating by decreasing the current. Secondly, it notifies you of a power reduction if your remaining battery power is very low.
DERATING FUNCTION
The LED display screen provides quick status updates of important components.
LED DISPLAY
The LED display on the oil sensor provides information about the level of chain oil. When the LED lights up in red, it indicates that there is not enough saw chain adhesive oil in the chainsaw. If there is sufficient oil supply, the LED will remain off.

Fitted with the STIHL .325"-RS Pro-Saw Chain and the lightweight Light 04 guide bar, ensuring a remarkable balance between cutting prowess and reduced weight.

It incorporates the STIHL anti-vibration system, which takes the strain off your muscles and joints by effectively dampening vibrations. The filter can be easily accessed for maintenance and cleaning through the service cover. Additionally, the built-in oil sensor continually monitors chain lubrication oil levels, optimizing work efficiency.


The cockpit provides comprehensive data and essential information about your chainsaw's operation. The MSA 300 offers three distinct operating programs (Eco, Felling, and Limbing) tailored to specific tasks.

It's important to note that for full functionality, the STIHL MSA 300 requires the use of a STIHL AP 500 S battery. The use of other STIHL batteries may not guarantee access to all functions or maximum cutting performance. Working time with AP 500 S battery is up to 20-44 mins (working time depends on chosen speed setting).
